The Undergraduate to Medical School Initiative (UMSI) is a combined BS/MD program: Honors College of Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine offer designed for academically talented and highly motivated students interested in pursuing a M.D. degree. A select group of Honors College students entering first year are guaranteed admission to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine after completion of a bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University.

Out of over 300 applicants, between 30-50 are interviewed and then finally 8 are ACCEPTED. That’s a 2.6% acceptance rate! Our client can technically be called “DOCTOR” as a high school senior! Wow!
