Congratulations to Clients Accepted to Brown PLME – Our Acceptance Results 2023

I am very pleased and happy to announce our final results for Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME): 9 of our clients were accepted to Brown PLME.

According to Brown University’s press release on March 31st, “..74 students were admitted to the Program in Liberal Medical Education an eight-year program leading to both a bachelor’s degree and an M.D. from Brown’s Warren Alpert Medical School.”

What does this mean?

This year, 12% of the Brown PLME class are our clients!

Rochester Early Medical Scholars Acceptance – 2023

Congratulations to our client who was accepted to The University of Rochester: Rochester Early Medical Scholars program! You are now among the 0.8% accepted to this EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE program.

The University of Rochester: Rochester Early Medical Scholars program is an eight-year bachelor’s of arts or bachelor’s of science and MD program from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Students enrolled in the program enter the University of Rochester with an assurance of admission to the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry when they successfully complete their undergraduate degree programs, including GPA and premed requirements. Students admitted to the program are not required to provide MCAT scores.

As a REM scholar, you are conditionally guaranteed admission to the MD program at the School of Medicine and Dentistry. This means that our client can technically be called “Doctor” as a high school senior! Wow!

REM is highly competitive and therefore has an acceptance rate of 0.8% for 10 spots with over 1,000 applicants annually!

It’s great to be unmatched, unparalleled and unrivaled….and DIFFERENT as an admissions advisor! As an admissions expert, I am always concerned about unforeseen circumstances and unfavorable consequences that may adversely affect my clients’ positive outcomes. Brown PLME: Brown University 259th Annual Opening Convocation

On September 9th, we were invited to Brown University’s 259 Annual Opening Convocation by several of the parents of our clients who were accepted to Brown (undergraduate) as well as PLME. Dr. Paul Lowe, an alumnus of Brown and Dr. Nadine Cartwright-Lowe (PLME – alumna), of BS/MD Admissions Advisors, are especially proud of their clients who were accepted to PLME.

Here are our 2022 Brown PLME results: 12 clients applied. Of the 12, 8 were accepted to PLME. The remaining 4: One accepted to Brown undergrad, 1 accepted to Harvard (also accepted to RPI/AMC), 1 accepted to Yale, and one accepted to Dartmouth (also accepted to GW and NJIT BSMD programs).

Navigating BS/MD Admissions: A New Playbook

Parents are facing the challenge of currently navigating the BS/MD admissions landscape. Incorrect decisions as to when, where and how to turn now results in shipwrecks: immediate rejection of their children after their years of planning. One incorrect extracurricular activity, one negative letter of recommendation, one incorrect sentence in an essay, one incorrect answer in an interview and one incorrect non-verbal cue and or perception will result in a REJECTION! It’s that competitive.

There are continuous fundamental shifts and uncertainty in BS/MD admissions. BS/MD programs are not just about high GPA and test scores, 3-5 page resumes, research and hours of shadowing. Summer Vacation – Time to Get Serious with BS/MD applications!

It’s summer vacation! Many students and their families are beginning to travel. Students are finally now able to sleep much later. Some students are simply meeting up with friends!

But some students are also thinking about college and the Common Application. During this time, our clients get serious!!! They know that they have to compete to win the coveted slots in BS/MD programs and Ivy League and highly competitive colleges and universities.
